Bill Gates has saved 5,812,000 lives  points out FrugalDad. A projected 7.6 million children under the age of five is expected to be saved by the Microsoft mogul’s efforts by 2019. As of 2007, Mr. Gates and his wife have contributed around 48 per cent of their combined net worth to charity, sum $28 billion. The contribution of the Gates family have been $2 billion more than the US budget for foreign aid.
