VMware to acquire VeloCloud Networks

VMware has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Mountain View-based VeloCloud Networks, a provider of cloud-delivered software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) technology, for an undisclosed sum.

VeloCloud investors include NEA, Venrock, March Capital Partners, Hermes Growth Partners, Telstra Ventures, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Cisco Investments, and Fabric.

The transaction is expected to close in VMware’s fiscal Q4 2018.
