Splunk To Acquire BugSense

Splunk_BugSenseOperational intelliegence software company Splunk has entered into an agreement to acquire BugSense, an analytics solution for machine data generated by mobile devices.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction, which will be funded with cash from Splunk’s balance sheet, is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close during Splunk’s fiscal third quarter 2014.

Founded in 2011, BugSense provides developers and users analytics for app performance, app quality, troubleshooting and usage based on data from mobile devices. BugSense supports all major mobile platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
