Intel To Drop McAfee Name

McAfeeChipmaker Intel acquired cybersecurity company McAfee in 2010, and the company had retained its identity. Now Intel says it will rebrand the company as ‘Intel Security.’ The announcement was made by CEO Brian Krzanich at CES 2014.

Mr. McAfee is quite a colorful man, and has been arrested on drug charges, accused of murder, and spent time on a Guatemalan prison. He has also repeatedly expressed his unhappiness over the quality of software produced by his name-sake company.
