IBM, Salesforce expand partnership

IBM and Salesforce have expanded their partnership, the companies said in a statement. Salesforce has named IBM a preferred cloud services provider. IBM has named Salesforce its preferred customer engagement platform for sales and service.

IBM will build apps bringing Watson and Quip together. These can be embedded directly into any Quip document. New AI-driven recommendations as well as predictive analytics are also planned.

IBM and Salesforce inked a global partnership to deliver joint AI-based solutions earlier this year.
