Healthland To Offer 3M Coding And Grouping Solutions

3M Health Information Systems has signed a strategic agreement with Healthland to license 3M coding, grouping, editing and reimbursement software products. Healthland will integrate the 3M solutions with its electronic health record (EHR) system and other applications to provide customers with actionable information that can be used to improve clinical outcomes, obtain appropriate reimbursement, facilitate quality reporting and prepare for ICD-10.

The agreement includes the 3M Coding and Reimbursement System, 3M’s coding software used by more than 5,000 hospitals worldwide, and 3M Grouper Plus Content Services, which delivers regulatory and 3M-proprietary content from a 3M-hosted, cloud-computing environment.

Healthland has licensed regulatory data and logic for CMS MS-DRGs, Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APCs). Long-term Care DRGs, and Medical Necessity edits.
