Guru raises $25 million

Enterprise knowledge sharing platform Guru has secured $25 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Thrive Capital, with participation from existing investors Emergence Capital, FirstMark Capital, Slack Fund, and Michael Dell’s MSD Capital.

Founded in 2013 by Rick Nucci and Mitchell Stewart, Guru customers include Shopify, Square, Spotify, Yext, BuzzFeed, Glossier, Intercom, and Thumbtack, according to a statement from the company.

Guru has more than 90 employees across its two offices in Philadelphia and San Francisco.

San Francisco, Calif.-based Platformatic, providers of a backend platform for developers, has raised $3.5 million. The funding round was led by venture capital firm Decibel, featuring contributions from Panache Ventures and angel investors.

Spellbook raises $10.9M (Canada)

Toronto & St. John's, Newfoundland-based Spellbook has raised $10.9 million in funding.
