Google Offers Free calling Within The US, Canada Through 2012

Gmail has extended free domestic calls within the US and Canada for 2012, says Vincent Paquet, Group Product Manager with Google. “This is our way of helping you connect with friends and family across the country,” he adds.

It will still cost money to call the rest of the world through Gmail though.
