Forbes Launches “Lifetime Financial Planning” Application

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Forbes Media has launched a Lifetime Financial Planning iPad application, available now at the iTunes App Store. The Lifetime Financial Planning application is sponsored by Northwestern Mutual.

The free application features a calculator that suggests how much a user should spend, save and insure each year to achieve a stable living standard, now and through retirement. The calculator, powered by ESPlanner, was created by Boston University Professor of Economics Laurence J. Kotlikoff.

“In the wake of the financial crisis and increased volatility in markets, the importance of being able to create a financial plan that will allow you to maintain or improve your living standard through retirement is critical,” said Vice President & Investing Editor of Forbes Media, Matt Schifrin.
