Diligent Robotics raises $2.1M seed round

Austin-based robotics company Diligent Robotics has raised $2.1 million seed investment. The funding was led by True Ventures, with participation from Pathbreaker Ventures, Boom Capital and Next Coast Ventures.

Previously, the National Science Foundation had funded Diligent Robotics in the form of a Small Business Innovation Research grant totaling $725,000.

Diligent is developing an autonomous hospital service robot, that the company says is designed to take some of the busywork off the hands of clinical staff.
