Chinese search giant Baidu is collaborating with Palo Alto, California-based company Cooliris, to bring mobile photo sharing services to its 100 million users. Baidu released the Cooliris app for iPhone and iPad last week. The Cooliris app is localized in simplified and traditional Chinese.

Cooliris also has partnerships with Tencent Weibo, China’s largest microblogging site, and Chinese social networking behemoth Renren. “Our partnerships in China have given our users greater access to amazing, localized content and have given us a 50x increase in mobile user acquisition in China,” said Soujanya Bhumkar, Cooliris CEO and co-founder, talking about the Baidu partnership.
