UC Berkeley’s CDSS will soon have a brick-and-mortar home, thanks to an anonymous $252 million gift to seed the construction of a “Data Hub”.

The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley’s School of Information, has released a report on cybersecurity that lays out five threat scenarios. “Cybersecurity is one of the fastest moving targets in today’s research and policy domains,” said Berkeley professor Steve Weber, faculty director of the center. SanDisk has made a $1 million donation to the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. The donation will fund recently completed renovations to Cory Hall, home of the college’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, and the undergraduate student Computing Lab, which has been renamed the SanDisk Computing Lab.
