Yammer To Acquire OneDrum

Enterprise social networks company Yammer has acquired oneDrum, a UK-based software company. The size of the acquisition was not disclosed. All of oneDrum’s employees will join Yammer, with CEO Jasper Westaway leading the integration of the two products.

Yammer will begin introducing oneDrum functionality by Summer 2012 as a client download, with no plug-ins required.

OneDrum is a software-development company that is creating a collaboration engine including a peer-to-peer desktop application that brings Google Docs functionality to Microsoft Office applications.
