Yahoo appoints Tressie Lieberman as chief marketing officer

Yahoo has announced the appointment of Tressie Lieberman as their new chief marketing officer (CMO). Ms. Lieberman brings with her over two decades of marketing experience from consumer brands like Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. In her new role at Yahoo, she will report to CEO Jim Lanzone.

As CMO, Ms. Lieberman will handle Yahoo’s global marketing strategies, brand positioning, user acquisition, and customer engagement initiatives. Her role will also involve guiding the brand’s growth strategy, says Yahoo.

Before her tenure as vice president of Digital Marketing and Off-Premise at Chipotle, Ms. Lieberman served as CMO at Snap Kitchen. She also held the position of vice president of Digital Innovation and On-Demand at Taco Bell.
