Walking The Ramp In 3D Printed Shoes

Stratasys3D printer company Stratasys unveiled a dozen 3D printed shoes on the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week, at Iris van Herpen’s Couture show Wilderness Embodied.

The shoes, printed with a number of intricate geometries designed to mimic elements of nature, is not the first time a 3D printed product has made it to the catwalks; Stratasys featured a 3D printed dress in Paris, this January.

The shoes were printed by Stratasys in collaboration with Dutch designers Iris van Herpen and Rem D Koolhaas, using  rigid opaque black and white materials on the PolyJet-based multi-material Objet Connex and Objet Eden 3D Printers.
