Twitter Heads To Indianapolis For Super Bowl

Twitter and global interactive marketing provider ExactTarget will be hosting executives from some of the world’s leading brands for the Super Bowl weekend at ExactTarget’s Global headquarters in downtown Indianapolis.

Together, Twitter and ExactTarget plan to host more than 200 in Indianapolis over Super Bowl weekend. The news of the partnership comes as Super Bowl-related tweets surged over the past day, topping more than 529,000 from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday – an increase of more than 65 per cent over the previous 24-hour period.

The top five Super Bowl-related topics on Twitter during the period were:

  • Super Bowl – 270,193 mentions
  • New England Patriots – 98,055 tweets
  • New York Giants – 87,941 mentions
  • NFL – 44,313 mentions
  • Indianapolis – 28,514 mentions
