Trend Micro launches $100M venture fund

Cybersecurity company Trend Micro has launched a venture fund for emerging technology markets, with an initial investment of $100 million.

The fund will be used to build a portfolio of startups in hyper growth markets such as the Internet of Things (IoT). The venture will offer companies financial backing, access to threat intelligence, strategic alliances, as well as its channel of more than 28,000 partners, said the company in a statement.
