Tegna hires former Time Inc. CTO to lead IT

Television and radio company Tegna has named Kurt Rao as chief technology officer. Mr. Rao will report directly to president and CEO Dave Lougee and oversee several departments, including IT, said the company in a statement.

Most recently, Mr. Rao was chief information and technology officer for Time Inc. He has also worked as vice president of technology for NBC Universal, and director of application development at Viacom.

Mr. Rao received his B.S. in Computer Science from Monmouth University.
