Target Forms New Digital Advisory Council

Target

Target, still coping with the aftermath of a security breach that compromised the payment card details of some 40 million customers, has formed a digital advisory council, comprising of tech industry veterans.  The council includes Ajay Agarwal, managing director of Bain Capital Ventures; Amy Chang, CEO and co-founder of Accompani; Roger Liew, chief technology officer of Orbitz Worldwide; and Sam Yagan, CEO of the Match Group, as well as CEO and founder of OkCupid.

The council will meet quarterly as a group with Casey Carl, president of Omnichannel, Target.  It will have the task of driving Target’s omnichannel strategies, including Target.com and mobile teams, and the enterprise strategy team, among others. Council members, who will serve two-year terms with an optional third year.

Target has 1,916 stores – 1,789 in the United States and 127 in Canada. The Minneapolis-based retail giant also has an online store.
