Synopsys has entered into an agreement with Clearlake Capital Group and Francisco Partners for the sale of its Software Integrity Group business in a transaction valued at up to $2.1 billion.

Semiconductor testing company Cohu and Xcerra  have entered into a definitive merger agreement, where Cohu is acquiring Xcerra for a combination of cash and stock. The deal is valued at roughly $627 million. 

Thales is acquiring security company Gemalto for €51 per share. The combined entities will have more than 28,000 engineers, 3,000 researchers, and invest more than €1 billion in self-funded R&D, according to a statement from Thales.
