Staples Stocking $1299 3D Printers From June

Staples is now stocking the Cube 3D Printer from 3D Systems. This is the first 3D printer to be available in the retail market, and costs $1299.99. You will have to wait till June to get your hands on one though, that is when they hit the shelves.

The Cube 3D printer can print items up to 5.5″ x 5.5″ x 5.5”, using material cartridges in 16 different colors including metallic silver, and glow in the dark varities. Users can print from a template or create a design using Cube’s software, Cubify Invent, sold separately.

The Cube 3D Printer, ready to use out of the box, features Wi-Fi, is compatible with Mac or Windows, and comes with 25 free 3D templates. Additional templates are available online.

Staples will also be stocking 3D printing accessories, including recyclable ABS and compostable PLA plastic cartridge refills, replenishment CubeSticks, which are used to stabilize the object being printed, and replacement Cube Print Pads.
