Spellbook raises $10.9M (Canada)

Toronto & St. John’s, Newfoundland-based Spellbook has raised $10.9 million in funding. The investment was led by Moxxie Ventures, with participation from Thomson Reuters Ventures, Inovia Capital, The LegalTech Fund, Bling Capital, N49P, Concrete Ventures, Good News Ventures, Venture Newfoundland and Labrador.

Spellbook offers a legal AI tool integrated with MS Word that uses GPT-4 and other large language models to review and suggest terms for legal contracts. The company says over 34,000 lawyers have signed up to try Spellbook.
