Sherlock Actor To Be Star Trek 2 Villain

Benedict Cumberbatch has been tapped to play the villain in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 2, says a report in Variety by Jeff Sneider . You have seen Mr. Cumbercatch in the television series Sherlock essaying the role of Sherlock Holmes. He is also part of the movies Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Atonement and The Other Boleyn Girl.

Mr. Cumbercatch will be joining Chris Pine (James Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Karl Urban (Bones), and Anton Yelchin (Chekov).
