Seagate Ships World’s First 8TB Hard Drives

Seagate

Storage giant Seagate has started shipping the world’s first 8TB hard disk drive. Outfitted with enterprise-class reliability and support for archive workloads, the drive features multi-drive RV tolerance, and incorporates a SATA 6Gb/s interface. Seagate has begun shipping to limited customers with wide scale availability of the drives expected next quarter.
