Salesforce to acquire Mulesoft for $6.5 billion

Salesforce will acquire integration platform MuleSoft for approximately $6.5 billion, the two companies said in a statement on Tuesday. The boards of directors of Salesforce and MuleSoft have unanimously approved the transaction.

MuleSoft will be part of the Salesforce Integration Cloud, after the acquisition.

BofA Merrill Lynch is serving as financial advisor to Salesforce. Goldman Sachs is serving as financial advisor to MuleSoft.
