Sabre names Joe DiFonzo chief information officer

Sabre has named Joe DiFonzo chief information officer. Mr. DiFonzo will have responsibility for Sabre’s enterprise technology organization, as well as corporate information technology, and risk and security functions, said the company in a statement.

Mr. DiFonzo was most recently at Syniverse, where during his tenure he served as both chief technology officer and CIO.  He previously spent 20 years at Convergys/Cincinnati Bell Information Systems, leading architecture and product development teams, among other assignments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Central Florida.
