Rovio Has A New CEO

Pekka-Rentala-Rovio

Mikael Hed will be succeeded by Pekka Rantala, as CEO of Rovio, the Finland-based company behind the popular Angry Birds games. Previously, Mr. Rantala was CEO of Finnish beverage-maker Hartwell. He also had a 14-year stint with Nokia. Mr. Hed will continue to have a position in the Rovio board. Additionally, he has been appointed as chairman of Rovio Animation Studios. The CEO transition will happen by January 1, 2015.
