Red 6 raises $70M

Red 6, an Augmented Reality (AR) technology firm working on synthetic air combat training and augmented reality applications for the entertainment industry, has raised a $70 million Series B funding round.

The round was led by RedBird Capital Partners. Other investors in the round include Alpha Edison, Boeing’s AEI Horizon X Fund, Lockheed Ventures, Accelerator Investments  (through the Disney Accelerator program), Washington Harbour Partners, M-Cor, the UK’s National Security Strategic Investment Fund, Moonshots Capital, Irongate, State of Florida Opportunity Fund, Alumni Ventures, Alliance Holdings, Alcazar Capital, and Robert Downey Jr.’sDowney Labs.
