Par Technology Awarded $5.2M Navy Contract

George H.W. Bush is conducting training operations in the Atlantic Ocean.

Par Technology has been awarded a five-year $5.2 million contract, through its subsidiary Rome Research, to provide 24/7/365 operation and maintenance support of the Naval Radio Transmitter Facility (NRTF) Aguada, Puerto Rico Low Frequency (LF) Fixed Submarine Broadcasting System (FSBS). The FSBS provides strategic and tactical communications to U.S. and allied submarine forces in the Atlantic.

The Aguada site consists of an AN/FRT-95 series transmitter, a Top Hat Monopole 1,200-foot base insulated antenna, and associated hardware, equipment and facilities. Contract support services include transmitter site operations and maintenance, antenna tower maintenance, facilities upkeep and grounds maintenance.
