By Lisa Carlin

When was the last time we saw a Nokia product we were really excited about? Look what we found while checking out the media release of Nokia’s latest Symbian Belle smartphone, Nokia 603. The Luna bluetooth headset! The Nokia 603 is NFC (near field communication) enabled, and comes with the but wait. This story is about the headset. Aah the headset. The headset looks like something out of a futuristic mothership, and obviously the company has given considerate thought on jazzing up the oomph factor this time around.

Luna uses a microUSB charger for power. Talk time is two hours with the headset and six hours in the holder, some eight hours in all. The headsets are available in cyan, fuchsia, green, white, and black. Luna is compatible with all Bluetooth phones, and is NFC-enabled. It can also connect with two phones simultaneously using advanced multipoint

Both the Nokia 603 and the Luna bluetooth headset is expected to start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2011. The Symbian Belle is the latest version of Nokia’s Symbian operating system, and was launched in August of this year.
