Nok Nok Labs raises $8 million

Nok Nok Labs, a Palo Alto-based company founded in 2011 that develops authentication software, has raised $8 million in Series D financing. The investment was led by Motorola Solutions Venture Capital. Existing investors DCM Ventures, DDS, Docomo Innovations, Korea Information Certificate Authority, Lenovo Group, and Onset Ventures also participated in the round.

IBM to deploy next-generation quantum computer at RIKEN in Japan

IBM has announced an agreement with RIKEN, a Japanese national research laboratory, to deploy IBM's quantum computer architecture and quantum processor at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan.
