Microsoft OneNote Now Free For Windows, Macs

Microsoft-OneNoteMicrosoft is making a basic version of its note-taking software OneNote free. Premium features continue to be available to paid customers.

The Redmond giant also introduced a Mac OSX version of OneNote, also as a free version; making the service available for PC, Mac, Windows tablets, Windows Phone, iPad, iPhone, Android and the Web.

The OneNote service now provides a cloud API, enabling applications to connect to it.
