Microsoft Acquires MetricsHub

metricshub

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Microsoft has acquired cloud monitoring startup MetricsHub – a participant in the Microsoft Accelerator. The size of the acquisition was not shared.

Bob Kelly (Corporate vice president, Strategy and Business Development, Microsoft): Cloud solutions are compelling for a variety of reasons – scale, flexibility and value – particularly for companies looking to do more with less.  However, it’s difficult to understand, monitor and correlate all the application data points that tell you how and when you need to scale your application.

MetricsHub will offer all Windows Azure customers their premium product as a pre-release, no charge, service available through the Windows Azure Store. The company will also be converting all paying customers to this no-charge version of the service.
