Mark Stabingas Appointed CEO Of Lockerz

Mark Stabingas, previously the company’s chief operating officer, will serve as a director on Lockerz’s board, and assume the position of chief executive officer from Kathy Savitt, founding CEO of Lockerz. Ms. Savitt is joining Yahoo as chief marketing officer, and will become a chairman of the Lockerz board. As part of the transition, which will take place effective September 14, 2012, she will also be making a personal investment in the company.

Mr. Stabingas has been part of the Lockerz team since December 2010, first as a consultant, before becoming COO in March 2011. As COO of Lockerz, Mr. Stabingas  focused on scaling the company’s e-commerce operations and led its finance, acquisition and partnership activities. Mr. Stabingas served in senior finance and business development roles at Amazon.com including as a direct report to Jeff Bezos and a member of the management committee. Prior to Amazon, he held several roles at PepsiCo, most recently as vice president of Corporate Strategy and Development. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Economics and Business from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lockerz is a rewards-based e-commerce company located in Seattle. It was founded by former technology and retail executive Kathy Savitt, and is backed by Liberty Media Corporation, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, DAG Ventures and Live Nation Entertainment.
