Leonardo DiCaprio Is The Newest VC Boy

The Titanic heart throb is not just playing a venture capitalist on the New York City offices of mobli; he is an investor in the startup and has an advisory role. Mobli recently completed a Series A funding round of $4 million led by DiCaprio and several other private investors. Mobli, earlier available just for iPhones, also released the latest version of its mobile app on Android and Blackberry just a few days ago.

Mobli is a real-time, visual social media platform, made up of subject-based channels such as people, places and topics. The platform has seen celebrity adoption, other than Leonardo DiCaprio, David Arquette and Paris Hilton are frequent fliers.
