Lenovo has formed the Enterprise Product Group. The new unit will expand Lenovo’s server, storage, networking and software offerings for commercial customers, including large enterprise, small/medium business and systems integrators.

The new organization will oversee development of products related to Lenovo’s recent partnership with EMC, in three main areas:

  • embedded servers for EMC storage
  • original equipment manufacturers reselling EMC offerings
  • working with the EMC-Lenovo joint venture to develop new storage offerings

The new organization will be led by Roy Guillen, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Product Group, Lenovo. Mr. Guillen joins Lenovo from Dell, where he was vice president and general manager of its data center solutions business.

Lenovo expects to launch critical product refreshes in the coming months and into 2013, says the company.
