Jack Dorsey Elected To The Disney Board

The Walt Disney Company has elected Jack Dorsey independent director. Mr. Dorsey is the co-founder and chairman of Twitter, as well as the CEO of Square.

Mr. Dorsey will stand for election along with the company’s other directors at the annual meeting on March 18, 2014. He will be replacing board member Judith Estrin, an entrepreneur and former CTO and senior vice president of Cisco Systems. Ms. Estrin has completed a 15-year tenure, and will not be eligible for re-election, according to Disney’s corporate guidelines.
