Intel To Launch A Gem-Studded Smart Bracelet

MICA-Intel

Intel is all set to launch a gem-studded smart bracelet, in association with fashion house Opening Ceremony.   MICA, or ‘My Intelligent Communication Accessory,’ combines semi-precious gems and water snakeskin with communications capabilities and wireless charging support.

MICA lets users stay connected via SMS messages. Meeting alerts, and general notifications can also be delivered directly to the wrist.  Intel says it will reveal addition MICA features later. The bracelets will be available in two styles, both with curved sapphire glass touchscreen displays. The models feature black watersnake skin, pearls from China, lapis stones from Madagascar, tiger’s eye from South Africa, and obsidian from Russia, says Intel.

MICA will be available at Barneys and Opening Ceremony stores this holiday season.
