Intel Foundry Services, Arm ink multigeneration agreement

Intel Foundry Services (IFS) and Arm have announced a multi-generational partnership to develop low-power system-on-chip (SoC) designs using Intel’s 18A process technology. This collaboration initially targets mobile SoC designs but may expand into automotive, IoT, data center, aerospace, and government sectors.

The partnership includes design technology co-optimization (DTCO), where chip design and process technologies are jointly optimized for enhanced power, performance, area, and cost (PPAC) in Arm cores using Intel’s 18A process technology. IFS and Arm will also create a mobile reference design, showcasing software and system capabilities for foundry customers.
