IBM and Monitise have inked a multi-year global alliance to deliver cloud-based mobile commerce solutions, targeted towards financial institutions. The alliance brings together the IBM MobileFirst portfolio, as well as the company’s financial services and retail industry solutions, with Monitise’s mobile banking and payments capabilities. The joint services will be spearheaded globally as an IBM Global Business Services’ initiative. Monitise will also move its production hosting and cloud requirements to IBM, including SoftLayer.
