Home Automation Company August Raises $8M

Home automation company August has raised $8 million in a Series A round of funding. The round was led by Maveron, with participation from Cowboy Ventures, Industry Ventures, Rho Ventures, and SoftTech VC.

August had previously raised $2 million in seed funding from investors including Matt Mullenweg, Mark Pincus, David Dolby, and Scott Belsky, among others. The latest round brings the company’s total venture funding to $10 million to date.
