Google Buys Artificial Intelligence Company DeepMind For $400M

Google is buying artificial intelligence company DeepMind for a reported $400 million. Founded by Demis Hassabis, Shane Legg and Mustafa Suleyman, DeepMind is based in London.

DeepMind combines techniques from machine learning and systems neuroscience to build general-purpose learning algorithms, according to its corporate website. The company says it is supported by some of the most iconic technology entrepreneurs and investors of the past decade.
