Former VMware COO Mike Hayes joins Mirantis board

Mirantis, a company that provides open source software for infrastructure control, has appointed Mike Hayes to its board. Mr. Hayes, who currently serves as the managing director of Mirantis’ investor Insight Partners, previously held the position of chief operating officer at VMware.

Before his tenure at VMware, Mr. Hayes worked as the senior vice president and head of strategic operations at Cognizant. He has an extensive background in public service, having served as a Commanding Officer in the Navy SEALs, the Director of Defense Policy and Strategy at the National Security Council, and a White House Fellow in the Executive Office under both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.
