Facebook acquires two month old tbh app for undisclosed sum

Facebook has acquired tbh (short for to be honest), an app that lets users give anonymous positive feedback to friends. Tbh was launched on August 3rd, 2017 in the State of Georgia, and was built by a small team of developers and designers in California, according to the company website.

The tbh app is available for a free download at the Apple app store, with plans of an Android version on the cards.

The company says it does not have plans to monetize tbh right now in its website, but will be soliciting feedback from the community to make sure it complements the experience. Now that it has been acquired by a Menlo Park giant, perhaps that is a moot point.

Since its launch, over five million people have downloaded tbh and sent over a billion messages, according to the company.
