[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Fab.com has acquired NYC-based FashionStake, an online marketplace for independent fashion, for an undisclosed sum. FashionStake cofounders Vivian Weng and Daniel Gulati will be joining the Fab team, says  Jason Goldberg, founder and chief executive officer at Fab.com. The FashionStake site now points to Fab.com.

Fab.com opened its online shop in June 2011. Seven months later, there are 1.65 million users, and 350,000 people have signed up in the last month alone, says Mr. Goldberg. 750,000 products have been sold.
