Equifax acquires ID Watchdog for $63 million

Credit monitoring and information solutions company Equifax has acquired ID Watchdog, a company that provides identity theft protection and resolution, for approximately $63 million.

ID Watchdog will continue to be based in Denver. The companies will be merging their identity solutions and industry relationships, according to a statement released by Equifax.

Equifax monitors data on more than 820 million consumers and over 91 million businesses worldwide, according to the company. Equifax’s database includes employee data contributed from more than 7,100 employers.
