Enigma Raises $4.5 Million

Enigma, an online search and discovery platform for public data, has raised a $4.5 million Series A round of funding. The investment was led by Comcast Ventures, with participation from American Express Ventures, Crosslink Capital and the New York Times Company.

Prior to this, Enigma raised $850,000 in seed funding from CrossLink Capital and TriplePoint Ventures along with other angel investors.

Enigma is currently available as a subscription service and as an API for big data analytics.
