dell

Dell has opened an Internet of Things (IoT) Lab in the company’s Silicon Valley Solution Center in Santa Clara, California.  The Dell IoT Lab will be jointly funded by Intel and Dell OEM Solutions, a member of the Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance. Dell and Intel customers will be able to build, modify and architect new IoT solutions on active bench space within the new lab, say the companies.

Doug Davis (Vice president and general manager, Internet of Things Group, Intel): The Internet of Things will enable one of the most significant technological transformations in our lifetime.

Earlier this year, Dell and Intel announced efforts to collaborate on IoT solutions for customer projects such as building automation for smart buildings. They are also both part of the Open Interconnect Consortium, that sets standards for connecting household gadgets and appliances.
