Bill Blake, senior vice president and CTO and Arvind Parthasarathi, president of YarcData, a company owned by Cray,  will be leaving to pursue other interests, says the company. In another development, Cray has appointed Max Schireson, the CEO of MongoDB, as a member of the board, and as a member of the company’s Strategic Technology Assessment and Compensation Committees.

The new appointment comes as Cray is reshuffling its corporate ranks, an alignment the company says is expected to “better capitalize on the massive growth of data, and the convergence of supercomputing and big data seen at companies and institutions around the world.”  Cray is bringing together its product groups. Peg Williams, senior vice president, research and development, will lead a cross-company R&D organization. Barry Bolding, vice president, marketing and business development, will lead an expanded marketing and business development team.
