Cray Adds Nvidia Tesla K40 GPU Accelerators To Its Productline

The Cray CS300 line of cluster supercomputers and the XC30 supercomputers are now available with the Nvidia Tesla K40 GPU accelerators. The Nvidia Tesla K40 provides 40 percent higher peak performance than its predecessor, the Tesla K20X GPU, says Cray.

The Nvidia Tesla K40 GPU accelerator features 12 gigabytes of GDDR5 memory, 2,880 CUDA parallel processing cores and is built using the Nvidia Kepler compute architecture.
